AI Engineer (Production Systems)
About the role
At Voltair Tech, we don't just prototype—we ship. We are looking for an AI Engineer who understands that a model is only as good as the production pipeline wrapping it. You will be responsible for building RAG systems, deploying agentic workflows, and ensuring our clients' AI apps are fast, reliable, and secure.
You’ll work directly with our founders to take high-impact projects from concept to production in our signature 48-hour build cycles. If you enjoy solving real-world operational friction for Indian businesses using the latest in LLM orchestration and vector databases, this is for you.
What you'll do
- Design and deploy production-grade RAG pipelines using Supabase and pgvector
- Build and maintain custom AI agents that integrate with WhatsApp, CRM, and internal APIs
- Implement evaluation frameworks to measure and improve LLM output quality
- Collaborate with the team to ship client-facing AI apps within tight 48-hour windows
- Optimize prompt engineering and guardrails for domain-specific accuracy
What we're looking for
- 2+ years of experience shipping production software in TypeScript/Next.js
- Proven experience building RAG systems or LLM-integrated applications
- Deep understanding of vector databases and retrieval strategies
- Ability to write clean, maintainable code that survives in production
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-output studio environment
