React Native Intern
About the role
We are looking for a sharp React Native intern to help us build and maintain high-performance mobile apps. You’ll be working directly on our production products—like SendZap and KaunTech—ensuring our mobile experiences are as fast and reliable as our backend systems.
This isn't a 'fix-the-CSS' internship. You will be shipping features, optimizing bridge performance, and ensuring our apps feel native on both iOS and Android. If you love building smooth UIs and have a deep interest in how mobile apps interact with hardware (like cameras and NFC), you’ll fit right in.
What you'll do
- Build and ship pixel-perfect UI components in React Native
- Integrate mobile apps with our existing Supabase/Postgres backends
- Optimize app performance for low-end devices and varying network conditions
- Debug and resolve issues across the mobile development lifecycle
- Collaborate with the design team to implement fluid animations and interactions
What we're looking for
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript
- Proven experience building at least one React Native app (side projects count)
- Understanding of mobile-specific challenges (navigation, state management, offline-first)
- Familiarity with Expo or CLI-based React Native workflows
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
